Syed Zafar is an intercultural communication consultant, trainer, author, and speaker with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals and organizations work more effectively across cultures. During his 35-year career with ExxonMobil, he designed and delivered intercultural programs for employees, managers, executives, and their families preparing for international assignments and global collaboration.
Since retiring from ExxonMobil, Syed has continued consulting with multinational corporations, relocation organizations, and professionals worldwide.

He has delivered more than 600 intercultural training programs in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and other international settings.

Born and raised in Pakistan, having worked in Saudi Arabia, and living in the United States since 1982, Syed combines personal international experience with decades of corporate expertise. He is the author of Crossing Cultures with Grace and Humor, which reflects his practical approach to helping people navigate cultural differences with confidence, respect, and understanding.
